SRU held a Symposium for Student Research today, I showed up to check out the trash cans. A bakers dozen + 1 muffins and two fruit danishes. Kyle found some Hot Buffalo Wing pretzel pieces, A first time I've heard of this kind.
Bert gave me some kale to go with the unopened carrot pack and whole orange i found today. The kale came from the RAMC garden for the NW PA winter market. it wasn't sold, and bert had already bought fresh kale. so I took it, why not.
AAAAaaaAAAhhhhhhhh.................... ............... ........... ........ ...... ... .. . . . . . . . . Someone "stole" my Whole Unopened Cookie. Not mentioning any names, but to replace to cookie someone left a folded piece of paper containing a few small metal disks and green piece of paper in return (they gave me money for the cookie). How useless, what kind of trade is that. I want my cookie back, what am i going to do with money?
Here is a story a friend shared with me about a recent experience with the waste stream:
"I was playing frisbee in the field outside ECB last week and was running to catch the disc when I came across a bottle of juice on the ground. It was strawberry banana Sobe, unopened, just lying in the grass. I had never had a Sobe before, and since it was unopened I figured it was safe to try. I drank it the next day." -katie=
"That's a lot of tomatoes" says Kelsi referring to the cover of Waste: uncovering the global food scandle. it reminded her how her landlord sometimes fills a bowl of fruit on the kitchen table. Sounded good to me, but she went on about the fruit just going bad. One specific example shes gave was about many bunches of bananas were brought for the house but for them to be eaten before going bad the house would have had to eat about 7 bananas a day! she was talking about wasting food.
She also rambled about just needing to education others about diets. T. Stuart mentions the lack of nutritional diets in lesser developing areas in the word because they lack things like the proper preservation of food. These are simple solutions, eduction on how to use their food, we already know these things! People just may not know what to do with what they got. Hmm

Your 4/7 and 4/8 blogs have been the best yet; true story. Someone STOLE YOUR COOKIE and replaced it with random items in an envelope??? Am I missing the joke. Maybe you can explain later? Sorry for your loss (cookie) but it seems as though the other sweets (i.e. Reeses, airheads, cracker jack, other cookies, etc.) you've found lately may be just as effective at maintaining your blood sugar levels. ;) Talk soon, cookie monster.
ReplyDeleteIt would have been a fair trade for anyone who was normal. Not that I'd have you any other way, but anyone else would have bought another...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feedback, it means a lot. I hope to see you soon.
