Caterpillar Squash

Featured: Steve (the runner's driver) and Bert envious of waste-stream cheese pizza

Pot-Luck at the RAMC today. I was at a loss, running late with nothing to bring to share (not that many folks would choose to eat from the waste-stream). But no worries, on the hike there i found a wonderful chicken salad and had a bite of pizza on the way. Already with enough food, I spotted a pizza box and could not resist. this is really addicting. Cheese pizza.

it's only a broken heart, tossed in the trash ...ouch. I intended on writing something very meaningful and inspiring in reaction to a comment posted yesterday, but i told my self to do something productive first. which turned out to be, EATING. And you may recognize that for me, eating usually ends up being quite the adventure.

eating: the hard boiled eggs in the morning and cooking them at night. somewhere in between i found a kit-kat. also i had leftover sandwiches from yesterday.

Caterpillar Squash

look in the distance, how that creature roams
looking for house, she's looking for home
we ought to pick her up, we ought to save her life
with us around, that cat won't survive

again look my friend, on the hot paved land
there's no leaves no trees, only asphalt covers ground
lets pick her up, to rise above this mess
for that cat there's still hope, step in for the rest

now here she crawls, while feet surround
only we see, that cat on the ground
this is our fear, of caterpillar squash
it's time to make a move, before a loss

it could all be, so different
all turn out, to be a happy end
just move yourself, we're predictable
we don't do a thing, predictable
-c
now someone do something, no one does a thing
those people don't care, they're not aware
na, why don't one of us, why not i
when will one of us, step in to save a life
-
the next moment heads, death from within
caterpillar squash is where nobody wins
nothing was done so squash was to be
i didn't see it coming, the foot of doom from me

grand intentions dead, wanting so much
we could save a friend, if we chose action
caring will go far with the choice we make
its the way of the world, its the the things go
-c

  1. WAM,
This is very perplexing to me. Ok...so people throw away Reese cups...but KIT KATS TOO??? God. Really?? Are you cheating??? ;)

I comment on your blog almost everyday; is that annoying? It's like my way of "virtually" hanging out with you.

Oh...and MAD props for posting lyrics to Caterpillar Squash. It reminds me of lots of great things. Lots.

  2. Could you give the shoes to the Good Will? Could you wear them? Terriable thing they made it to the trash.
