Dirty Plate Licker

Ran into Bert at the Library while making a sweep for food. She asked if I had anything good for a snack before going on an adventure. I showed off the mostly complete turkey sub, but she wasn’t interested. After reminding me of her meat-less diet, I dug a banana out of my bag. She is displayed, without permission, with the banana I scored that day. Thank you SRU.

Planned for the evening, was a sustainable social dinner at our friend Ken’s. He really knows how to present and serve us healthy and homemade food. Before the diner, I reminded Ken that he should not prepare anything for me, because of my current diet. I kept my eyes wide for scraps before being tossed. This method got me a taste of most of the goodies. There is nothing like Ken’s fresh eggs and varieties of dinner leftovers. Oh it hurts, but I was committed today.

Just what am I trying to prove? Isn't American an all you can eat buffet anyway?

A social event with friends is good. Feeding friends is good. Leftovers to share are good. Not-good is having more than you can manage, to the point that food goes bad or it discarded before used for its purpose.
