Featured: the Sustainable Banquet for our Sustainabila-Buddies

Last of the last of the Pre-packaged prepared salads were fried up today. Also I included a mixed veggie pack that I had been saving. I didn't eat fast enough and and had to discard a few items. The snap peas and a package of salad. Field trip to the
RAMC compost pile. So the observation made by Cole was that I am wasting from the waste-stream. Gerr.
On campus, after finding some pizza, I scored a Banquet. Danishes, doughnuts, strawberries, and pineapple. This find was just what I needed to host the visit of two traveling sustainabila-buddies, Missy and Carly. When finishing at the
North Country Brewery, I got to clean the plate. At the end of the night I munched on leftover chips, peanut butter, Bacon, and those danishes.

During the sustanbili-visit welcoming waste-stream feast fit for a queen, I argued that the 4 of us were sitting around the table when we could be taking action to feed the people who are going to starve today. That argument didn't go over very well, because we 4 are all currently busy focusing on how to be a part of the solution now. We wondered if clicking to give free food at
the hungersite, or playing some educational games to give
freerice counted as actual action. I don't know. maybe if it works, if people are being fed then the click of my finger counts.
A new perspective drawn out by Missy. the "Table vs. Trash" theory of waste. The example was that leftover pizza could be sitting on the table for day's, up for grabs, still being served. But, pizza could go in the trash after an hour, wasted. Table vs. trash. I likes.
