Began the day with making Potato Fries from Nasty Potatoes with the expired hummus to go along with them. I have 3 small potatoes left to consume, depending on how I want to ration things out I may save them for a weekend. Life has not been challenging so far. But I must remind you that being on a college campus is like living on a gold mine. I was exploring the World Bank, United Nations, and Global Statistics sites trying to gain a better perception of the population that is needy. The best I found was the number of children that DIE every DAY from Hunger. All they may have needed to get them through the day was one serving of rice. Would that have prolonged death long enough to get to the next bite? Who am I to say that it wasn't there time to die. But Maybe it should be a human right to live until your fifth birthday. Just one serving of rice could have gotten the kid one more day.
One serving of rice is typically 1/4 of a cup of dry rice. When I used to buy 5lb bags of rice they usually cost under $4.00. 12 cups in a 5lb bag for $4.00 is $0.33 a cup, or about $0.08 a serving. The logic may or may not be accurate, so try it yourself without my method. The way I see it, $0.08 is not much, but is to much for one more day for a kid.

Today's sweep:
Apple, 1 chicken salad wrap, 2 turkey sandwiches, 1/4 bagel, 2 turkey subs, 3 random leftover sandwiches, Sun Chips, Banana Nut Muffin.
