Fry-Day; Dry-Day

For breakfast; put some of the expired hummus on a bagel I found last night, Toasted two pieces of bread from the waste-stream, and finished with a ham and Swiss sub.

On my way to do some work, passing through one of the buildings for a quick search, I found a couple girls at a Haiti Relief table, taking donations for edible goodies. I picked out some puppy-chow to give to friends, and continued on my way.

Before the library closed for the night, I did a thorough sweep. Very little was found, but I did come out with a Valentines Day themed cookie! Really, it felt like a blessing. It was a tough sweep.

Chocolate cup cake, <3 sugar cookie, chocolate chip cookie, 3 cherry tomatoes, bite of a chicken wrap, and a ham/Swiss sub.

Leaving campus, most of the buildings were being locked up, but I found a way in one building (Spots) that usually provide a good find. Nothing! Then I managed my way into a dining area (Rockies) that was being cleaned up for the night. Not empty handed, I came out with some French Fries at least.

By this time I sensed the need to explore other areas to prepare for days of drought. There is a stash of rations back at my place, so there is no need today. In the future, this may not be the case. My new destination was the field house. I had not been in that place at all. When walking through to check it out, I was imagining a huge crowd of people, all eating nacho cheese with chips and popcorn. The crowd would be throwing half of their investment away into the bins that surround the court. Under my breath I said, “I’m going to need help.” On my way out, I picked up a Jimmy Johns Italian sub; “America’s Favorite Sandwich Delivery Guys!”

Thanks again, Jimmy Johns, for dinner
