Real Food

Cooked a couple hot-dogs for the road and drove to Zelienople, PA to conduct a brief presentation on residential energy conservation. The session turned out to be canceled, so on my way out of town I explored most of the dumpsters I could.

The first was bare, the second was being taken over by the garbage truck, the third was not promising, but in the fourth I dug out some real food! Green beans, yellow pepper, and strawberries. There were probably 10 oranges that didn’t survive the freezing temperatures. The oranges would have been a nice addition to family. It turned out to be a nice lunch when I got home.

For my second lunch, back the college campus a turkey Swiss sub, blueberry muffin, and peanut butter & chocolate chunk cookies. These were all found in the same trash can. One of the faculty professors was working with a student right next to it. He asked if I was hungry, which I wasn’t because of Zelionople, but I can resist looking.

Late dinner was a three servings of Smokin’ turkey club bagels, a bag of Doritos, and a smiley face cup cake :)
